A few days ago, we found a little kitten alone in a parking lot, hiding under a car beside the gas tank.
It took nearly 25 minutes to safely rescue because the space was so small that we had to find someone with tiny enough hands to reach where we couldn't. Thanks to the help of an amazing young girl, we were finally able to bring this kitten to safety.
When we got a closer look, we realized how much this little one had already endured. It was covered in fleas, had an eye infection, and was missing part of its tail.
We don't know everything this kitten has been through. But we do know one thing... It deserved a second chance.
This little one is now the sixth rescue cat to find its way to us. None of these rescues were planned. Every one simply appeared when they needed someone to care.
These rescues are exactly why we're working toward building Ever After Paws—a sanctuary where abandoned, injured, neglected, and forgotten cats can receive care, healing, and love.
